Adam Schefter has reported that the Raiders and CB DeAngelo Hall have reached an agreement on a seven-year, $70 million contact with $24.5 guaranteed. Hall and the team had been discussing a deal since Wednesday evening.
In exchange for Hall, the Falcons will receive the Raiders 2008 second-round draft choice, as reported, and their fifth-round choice in the 2009 NFL Draft. Previous reports had the Raiders 2008 sixth-round pick in the deal instead of next year’s selection. With the limited number of picks remaining in the Raiders’ arsenal in 2008, they likely wanted to spread the picks out to two years.
Update: The Raiders have now confirmed the acquisition of Hall on the team website.
Watch for a move soon involving one of the Raiders defensive backs: Chris Carr or Fabian Washington.
